Terms of Service
Last updated: May 18, 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
Lodestar is operated by Lamb & Company Ventures, LLC ("Lodestar", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
2. The service
Lodestar provides an AI coaching chat product grounded in classical traditions of self-development. Lodestar is a generative AI tool. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for any particular purpose. Lodestar is not therapy, not medical or mental-health care, and not a substitute for a qualified clinician.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Lodestar for unlawful purposes, fraud, spam, or harassment.
- Submit prompts designed to produce illegal content, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, content facilitating violence or self-harm, malware, or jailbreaking instructions.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Probe, scan, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the security or integrity of the service.
- Resell, redistribute, or use the service to train a competing model.
You are responsible for your prompts, your use of outputs, verifying accuracy before relying on them, and having the rights to any content you submit. We may filter, restrict, or refuse outputs and may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service.
4. Accounts
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
5. Intellectual property
Lodestar and all related software, branding, and documentation are owned by Lamb & Company Ventures, LLC. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your active plan. We claim no ownership over the content you submit; you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to deliver the service to you.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment terms, billing frequency, taxes, cancellations and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) and our Refund Policy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and keep access through the end of your current paid period.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. On termination, your right to use the service ends; you may request export of your conversation history within 30 days, after which we may delete it.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Our aggregate liability under these Terms will not exceed the fees you paid in the prior twelve months. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
9. Indemnity
You will indemnify us for claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of the seller's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice.
